Erbil, Monday (April 13, 2026)
Today, at the hall of (Prof. Dr. Mohammed Arif) in the College of Fine Arts at Salahaddin University, the Master’s thesis defense of student Baban Omar Maroof was successfully held.
The thesis, entitled “The Style of Performance in Representing the Heroic Character in Kurdish Cinematic Films in the Kurdistan Region,” was presented and discussed.
Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Samo chaired the scientific committee, with Assist. Prof. Dr. Zhelwan Tahir Bapir and Assist. Prof. Dr. Dilshad Mustafa Rahim as committee members. Dr. Sardar Mahmood Saeed also served as a member and supervisor of the thesis.
After an in-depth academic discussion that lasted three hours, the thesis was approved.
