Erbil, Thursday (29 January 2026)
Today, Prof. Dr. Sardar Qadir, Dean of the College of Fine Arts at Salahaddin University, welcomed Assis. Prof. Dr. Chiaa Kamal Saadi. During the meeting, Assis.Prof.Dr. Chiaa presented four newly published scientific books, which are modern teaching-methodology textbooks in the Music Department, as a donation to the Dean’s Office and the College Library. This initiative aims to further enrich the Kurdish library so that students can benefit from these valuable academic resources.
It is worth mentioning that the design of the books was carried out by Assis.Teacher.Adil Zirar from the Design Department (Design Branch).
In return, Prof. Dr. Sardar Qadir, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, expressed his thanks and appreciation for the scientific efforts of both distinguished professors, wishing them continued success and perseverance in research and production. He also reaffirmed the importance of such contributions, noting that the college and its students are in great need of these types of academic publications in all fields, as scientific methodological books of this kind serve as valuable academic references for the college in general and for the Music Department in particular.
The books are:
- Fundamentals of Learning the Oud Instrument – Level 1
- Fundamentals of Learning the Oud Instrument – Level 2
(This book consists of eight levels, starting from beginner to advanced level) - An Introduction to the Science of Ethnomusicology
- A Brief History of World Music
