Within the framework of its artistic activities, the College of Fine Arts – Department of Cinema and Theatre has produced a video art work titled “The Felt Walls”, directed by Assis.Teacher. Dana Mohammed Abdulla.
The concept of the video art addresses the resistance of the Rojava Revolution, where an oppressor attempts to break a woman’s identity by cutting her hair, only to confront a silent wall of felt—interwoven like the veins of mountains. A symbolic response that conveys the idea that cutting one individual gives rise to the uprising of thousands.
