Today, in the hall of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Aref at the College of Fine Arts, Salahaddin University–Erbil, the master’s thesis defense of student Naif Mohammed Ahmed was conducted.
The thesis, entitled “Technical Style and Performance of the Kamāncheh in Kurdish Music,” was presented.
Prof. Dr. Jawad Neamat Hussein served as the head of the examination committee, with the membership of Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Aziz Shakir Zaza and Assist. Prof. Dr. Chiaey Kamal Saadi, and Dr. Sirwan Mohammed Mustafa as a member and the thesis supervisor.
After a scientific discussion that lasted three and a half hours, the thesis was accepted.
