Erbil, Monday (27th of October, 2025)
Today, in the hall of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aref at the College of Fine Arts, University of Salahaddin, the conversation on the master’s thesis of student Dildar Zarar Qadir took place.
The thesis, titled “Modes of Bayat, Characteristics, Ornamentation, and Specific Expression in Kurdish Music in Iraqi Kurdistan,” was presented.
Prof. Dr. Sabir Bakr Mustafa was the head of the scientific committee of the conversation, and each of the following professors:
- Assist. Prof. Dr. Dilawar Mustafa Muhammad
- Assist. Prof. Dr. Chiaei Kamal Saadi
- Assist. Prof. Dr. Sarood Fuad Muhammad
…were members of the committee and supervisors of the thesis.
After a scientific discussion, which lasted more than three hours, the thesis was approved.
