Erbil, Sunday (May 3, 2026)
Today, Sunday, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Sardar Qadir, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, along with the Assistant Dean, heads of the scientific departments, and a number of faculty members and students, an artistic and humanitarian activity entitled “The Art of Colors, the Melody of Sound, and Performance: Illuminating the Hearts of Children” was held at the Orphanage House in Erbil.
This activity, organized under the supervision of Asst. Lecturer Gazang Mohammed Abdulwahid and under the umbrella of the College of Fine Arts at Salahaddin University-Erbil, aimed to bring joy and warmth to the hearts of the children. Students from all three departments of the college participated with a spirit of volunteerism and humanitarian commitment, using art as a language of understanding and as a bridge between knowledge and pure human emotions.
The activity included several diverse artistic segments:
Fine Arts Department:
Ten students participated in artistic face-painting activities, bringing color and happiness to the children’s faces.
Music Department:
Nine students performed nine Western and Eastern musical pieces, creating an atmosphere filled with harmony and joy.
Cinema and Theatre Department:
A captivating mascot movement performance was presented by two students from the department, attracting the children’s attention and entertainment.
This initiative was a practical affirmation that true creativity is not confined to classrooms and academic halls. Rather, when art and knowledge come together with humanity, they build a brighter world for children and society.
The College of Fine Arts takes pride in its students who dedicate their talents and creativity to serving humanity.
