Award for Best Short Film (Youth Category)
at the 5th Sulaimani International Film Festival
The Cinema and Theater Department of the College of Fine Arts at Salahaddin University, proudly announces that the short film “My Paper Boat” (Bela Ma Kagazakam), written and directed by Hozan Sherzad and supervised by Dana Muhamad, has won the Best Short Film (Youth Category) at the 5th Sulaimani International Film Festival.
The 5th festival featured 150 films from 30 countries, with 95 films achieving first-tier recognition. The College of Fine Arts was represented by four short films:
- “My Paper Boat” (Bela Ma Kagazakam) – Directed by Hozan Sherzad
- “Nishan” – Directed by Riman Ranj
- “13” – Directed by Edward Halkot
- “Bargdrooka” – Directed by Barzan Younis
