Today, Sunday, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Sardar Qadir, Dean of the College of Fine Arts at Salahaddin University, Assist. Prof. Dr. Sami Khoshnaw, Assistant Dean, Dr. Hiwa Talat, Head of the Music Department, Assist. Lecturer Dana Mohammed, Head of the Department of Cinema and Theater, along with a number of lecturers and students from the College of Fine Arts, a humanitarian and artistic visit and activity was organized for the Elderly Home in Erbil.
The main purpose of this visit was to honor and support this respected and beloved segment of society. During the activity, the college delegation, with a spirit of loyalty and humanity, used art as a universal language to express compassion and affection, aiming to create an atmosphere of peace, joy, and warmth for the residents of the home.
The event’s activities were organized in an authentic artistic style, through which students and lecturers presented performances as a gesture of appreciation for the lifetime dedication and sacrifices of fathers and mothers. These included:
- Performing several religious hymns that created a spiritual and comforting atmosphere in the hall.
- Presenting a number of traditional Kurdish musical pieces and songs that revived beautiful memories for the attendees.
The smiles on the faces of the elderly residents and the happiness reflected in their eyes were considered the delegation’s greatest achievement and the most beautiful humanitarian scene of the day.
This initiative reaffirmed that the mission of the College of Fine Arts is not limited to classrooms and lecture halls. Rather, when art is combined with humanity and loyalty, it becomes a means of service and a source of hope for society.
At the conclusion of the visit, heartfelt wishes were extended for long life and good health to all beloved fathers and mother
