The Impact of Color on Improving the Environment of Children with Autism Discussed in a Scientific Seminar

Hawre Sarkawt Rashid, in a scientific seminar entitled The Role of Colour in Interior Design to Improve the Environment of Children with Autism”, highlighted the importance of selecting colours and their impact on the psychological and sensory state of children with special needs (Autism Spectrum Disorder).

During the seminar, it was explained in detail how the brain of a child with autism processes environmental stimuli with greater intensity. Therefore, interior design should be planned in a way that reduces sensory overload (Sensory Overload). It was pointed out that choosing appropriate colors can help create a calming environment, supporting children in improving concentration levels and reducing anxiety.
