With the Presence of the Prime Minister, a Joint Art Exhibition of 21 Painters Opens

Erbil, Wednesday (2 October ,2025)

With the attendance of His Excellency Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, a joint exhibition of 21 Kurdish painters was opened on Saturday (27 September 2025) at the Erbil International Equestrian Center. The exhibition is scheduled to continue for one week.

The exhibition, dedicated to “The Horse in the Culture and History of Kurdistan”, featured works by 21 Kurdish artists who presented the history and tradition of horsemanship in Kurdistan through their paintings.

Also present at the opening ceremony were the Minister of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, as well as several consuls and representatives of foreign countries.

Within this framework, a number of professors and students from the College of Fine Arts at Salahaddin University, together with artists from various towns and cities of Kurdistan, showcased their artworks. The exhibition will continue until the end of this week.

Saman Abubakr, Raouf Hassan, Dilshad Naif, Khairi Adam, Rawand Jaafar, Dunya Fazil, Hawkar Fryad, Mevan Salim, Dzhwar Issa, Alaa Nawzad, Botan Omer, Aram Hamedamin, Tre Shwan, Sipal Nazm, Sherko Salahaddin, Kizhan Khasro, Hozan Abdul Samad, Salih Mahdi, Reza Mohammed, Bekhal Faiq, and Shkur Abdullah.
