Salahaddin University Launches Campus Clean-Up Campaign

Salahaddin University successfully organized a comprehensive campus clean-up campaign on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The initiative was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kamaran Younis Mohammed-Amin, President of Salahaddin University, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Hussein Saadi, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Sardar Qadir, Dean of the College of Fine Arts and official representative of the Ministry and relevant authorities.
The event commenced at the College of Fine Arts, Department of Cinema and Theatre, with the screening of the short film “A Piece of Garbage.” The film conveyed a powerful message about environmental protection and the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy university campus.
In recognition of their contribution, the University Presidency expressed its gratitude to Mr. Dana Mohammed, Head of the Department of Cinema and Theatre and supervisor of the production, as well as to Awat Asaad, the film’s director.
The campaign concluded with enthusiastic participation from staff and students who joined efforts to clean classrooms and lecture halls, reaffirming Salahaddin University’s commitment to environmental stewardship and community service.
