On Tuesday, 20 January 2026, in the presence of a large number of professors from the College of Fine Arts, and within the framework of the college’s academic activities, a scientific seminar was held for the esteemed Assis. Teacher. Hajjar Ahmed Mustafa entitled “Contemporary Harmonic Language.”
During the seminar, the speaker presented modern methods and techniques of harmony that are used in contemporary music composition, and also shed light on the latest developments and transformations in harmonic language in modern musical composition.
In another part of the seminar, attention was given to how these techniques are reflected and applied in Kurdish music.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the floor was opened for questions and discussion. The speaker responded to the participants’ questions, and through dialogue and interaction, the seminar was further enriched.
