Today, in the hall of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Aref at the College of Fine Arts, Salahaddin University-Erbil, the master’s thesis defense of student Sarkawt Burhan Yousif was successfully held.
The thesis, titled “The Context and Musical Foundations in the Kurdish Beyt”, was presented by the candidate.
Assis.Prof. Dr. Mohammed Aziz Shakir Zaza chaired the examination committee, with the participation of committee members Assis. Prof. Dr. Amanj Ghazi Shakir and Assis. Prof. Dr. Soran Abdulrahman Hamed, and Assis.Prof. Dr. Dlaver Mustafa Mohammed as both member and thesis supervisor.
Following an academic and in-depth discussion that lasted over three hours, the thesis was approved, and the candidate successfully passed the defense.
