Erbil, Friday (19th December 2025)
On the occasion of Kurdistan Flag Day, Ms. Bahar Anwar Sherwani, a master’s student in the Department of Fine Arts, held an art exhibition on 17th December 2025.
The exhibition was titled “The Manifestation of Spirits with the Soil” and took place at the university’s regional hall.
The opening ceremony was attended by the following dignitaries:
- Omid Khushnaw, Governor of Erbil
- Dr. Amir Chali, Deputy Minister of Higher Education
- Ph.D. Kameran Younis, President of Salahaddin University
- Dr. Zana Mala Khalid, Head of the Second Branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party
- Ahmed Kani, Member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party
- Shiran Khan, Regional Coordinator of Aynda
- Zahir Zahir, Head of the Students and Youth Unit at Qala
In addition, a number of government officials, party members, professors, and administrators from the university’s regional campus were present.
During the ceremony, Assis.Prof.Dr. Sami Ismail, Assistant Dean, represented the College of Fine Arts and participated in the unveiling of the artworks and honoring Ms. Bahar Anwar Sherwani, wishing her further success in her artistic endeavors.
