Erbil, Thursday (February 5, 2026)
Today, in the hall of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Arif at the College of Fine Arts, Salahaddin University, the defense of the master’s thesis of the student Goran Luqman Kakerash was held.
The thesis was presented under the title:
“The Use and Development of Hasan Zirak’s Melodies in New Kurdish Musical Compositions.”
Prof. Dr. Ihsan Shakir Zalzala chaired the scientific committee of the defense. The committee members were:
- Assis.Prof. Dr. Samah Hassan Faleih
- Assis.Prof. Dr. Chiaa Kemal Saadi
Additionally, Prof. Dr. Nasr Hashim Badan was a member of the committee and the supervisor of the thesis.
After a scientific discussion that lasted three hours, the thesis was successfully accepted.
