In a ceremony organized by the Erbil Branch of the Kurdistan Artists Syndicate, in coordination with the Erbil Governorate, the newest publication by M. Ashna Omar, titled “The Aesthetic Dimensions in Kurdish Circular Songs”, was officially introduced.
The ceremony took place on September 30, 2025. In his opening speech, Mr. Hiwa Suad, President of the Kurdistan Artists Syndicate, praised the scholarly dedication and valuable contributions of Mr. Ashna Omar, expressing his hope for his continued academic efforts and achievements.
Following that, Dr. Hiwa Talat, Head of the Music Department at the College of Fine Arts, presented a brief review of the book, highlighting the author’s methodology, the structure of the chapters, and the importance of the research.
