Prof.Dr. Serdar Qadir, the director of the College of Fine Arts, and Dr. Hiwat Alat, Head of the Music Department, today officially extended thanks and appreciation to the participants of a special college concert, which was held on (February 11, 2026) on the occasion of welcoming first-year students.
The concert was organized by the students of the Music Department of the College of Fine Arts. During the event, music students performed four musical and vocal pieces. Each of the students (Ibrahim Hemen, Zakaria Salah, Muhammad Dana, Mir Bemo, Bland Numan) participated with their instrumental performances of Western music.
The second part of the concert was dedicated to performing classical music and traditional songs of Kurdish and Eastern heritage. Each of the students (Keywan Hijran, Shazad Ahmed, Rawaz Shorsh, Lawin Nayef, Ibrahim Hemen) participated with their instrumental renditions, while (Sarmad Sadiq and Awa Namrat) performed with their vocal interpretations of the songs.
The concert was prepared by fourth-year music student “Ibrahim Hemen Kare” under the supervision of the College of Fine Arts Music Department, with contributions from students including Keywan Hijran.
During today’s ceremony, the college director presented certificates of appreciation to the supervisors, the preparation team, participants of the concert, and the organizers of the event, wishing them continued success in future endeavors.
