Friday, January 22, 2026, as part of the department’s scientific and artistic activities. The workshop, held at the Cinema and Theater Department of the College of Fine Arts at Salahaddin University, was designed as a scientific and artistic program for the students under the title “Body, Movement, and Gesture in Acting” and lasted for three days.
During the workshop, presented by the theater artist Dr. Fazl Jaf, a scientific approach was applied to explore the foundations of body and movement. The principles of gesture and biomechanics were also discussed, highlighting their central role in acting. This type of activity was planned within the Cinema and Theater Department with the aim of enhancing students’ scientific and practical skills, as well as benefiting from their knowledge and experience in the field of arts.
On the final day of the workshop, as a gesture of appreciation for the workshop’s success, the Head of the Cinema and Theater Department, Assis. Teacher. Dana Mohammed Abdullah, expressed thanks and recognition to the workshop instructor, Dr. Fazl Jaf, for his dedication and efforts. At the same time, M. Ali Tahsin Agha, the coordinator of artists, presented thanks and appreciation to Dr. Fazl Jaf for his service to the students and the art of theater.
In another part of the closing ceremony, certificates of participation were distributed to the students and instructors who attended the workshop.
